Planting Day Sat 13 April

By   March 28, 2013

Dear All

We had a small and cosy planning meeting on 23 March with scones and tea! I hope you are all well and looking forward to some warmer weather – we are going to need it …

PLANTING DAY:

Saturday 13 April from 10.30 to 12.30

We will be outside number 10 Clive Road with FREE SEEDS and FREE COMPOST. If you have pots bring them down, if you have spare bring them along too. If you don’t have enough pots you can come and see what is on offer, there will be plenty to go around.

The plan is to plant up your pots – using a choice of the seeds on offer – and wheel them home in our wheelbarrow. All the seeds can go directly into the pots and go straight outside. No need for cloches (hopefully) or pricking or complicated time-consuming activity.

This is to go alongside other plants you have outside for the summer. We just need to incorporate some edible planting for the Britain in Bloom in July. The seeds on offer will be:

Chives, parsley, coriander, dill, garlic chives, sage, thyme, marigolds, nasturtiums, radishes, carrots, fennel, spring onions, spinach and red frills mustard.

If you cannot come on that weekend do let me know, you can pop in for some seeds and compost after that time, or if really pushed I can put some seeds through your door.

Looking forward to seeing as many as possible.
